Queue Busters The demand for “Queue Busters” or “Floor Walkers” as some clients call them is rapidly growing amongst our clients. Our clients have realized that they can reduce costs on Ticket Office staff in the long run by educating their passengers to use their existing or newly installed automatic ticket machines. For this purpose Pro-Active has been deploying specially trained staff for the interim period at station to pro-actively approach passengers waiting in the queue to buy a ticket from the Ticket Attendant. The passengers are then being made aware of the automated ticket-machine facilities and educate on their operation and functions. Clients who use this service find that there is a dramatic increase in revenue taken at the automated ticket machines while reduction in Ticket Office expenses as a result operation.

Crowd Control – Reading Station

We were contracted to supply and manage crowd control personnel at Reading Station to reroute commuters while the escalators were undergoing maintenance. This was considered to be a safety critical project and therefore the attendance and punctuality of our staff was imperative to the station’s operation. Pro-Active engaged in an abundance of contingency planning to ensure the positions were never left uncovered. It should be noted that Reading Station is amongst the top 5 busiest rail stations in the UK.
